For a student wh...HI Manju, Thanks for the comment.
For a student who always got 10 out of 100, getting 1 mark less than pass mark is historical mark.

It is to be noted that, from South India and from East India, NDA/BJP is not getting the number of seats it got when Vajpayee came to power. All surveys are only suggesting that BJP may get large number of seats in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharastra and TDP may get good number of seats from Seemandhra. No one can stop NDA in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhyapradesh, Chathisgarh etc were there is direct fight between BJP and Cong. In Maharastra, NDA may get more seats, simply because Raj Thakkaray is not dividing BJP votes where it contest.

However the case in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh is going to be different. I dont contradict election surveys. (we have no other source to know ground situation). But election surveys can only predict trend. I will post my latest comment about the situation in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar today or tomorrow. Anti BJP votes are consolidating behind SP in UP and behind Lalu-Cong alliance in Bihar. If NDA dont get large number of seats in these crucial states, it is going to be hung parliament. Still NDA can form a govt, but that will be the most unstable govt. Modi may have to declare war against (imaginary) internal enemies and external enemies to divert attention from burning issues. What Modi can do about Gas price? What is his policy on Srilanka? His view on Bangladeshi migrant problem is disastrous. If he fails to approve the special status of J&K, it will have disastrous consequences. The economy will be the biggest casualty. The same urban middle class which support Modi (because of lack of new job opportunities), would turn out to be some of his biggest foes. Each time, Modi faces a crisis on economic front, he may have to whip up passions using Hindutva agenda. India is not Mukesh Reliance group. Thousands of small industries will close down if gas price is increased according to Mukesh' demands. Agriculture will collapse, when fertilizer prices shoot up. Electricity tariff, LPG rates, Transportation rates all will go up.

It is very difficult for Modi to manage economy with thin margin. Even if he wage wars against neighbouring nations, he can not rally majority of the people behind him beyond some years.

Kindly see my next post by next couple of days..
